H-Bros Entertainment brings
Grammy-Winner T-Pain to Northwest Arkansas
H Bros Entertainment, Northwest Arkansas’ newest entertainment company,
will bring Grammy-award winning R & B singer T-Pain, rapper Plies
and local hip-hop group SoundChild Crew, to the Springdale Civic Center
on Saturday, March 22. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at
www.myspace.com/hbrosentertainment and at the door.
“People are losing interest in the northwest Arkansas nightlife,” said
Brandon Gonzalez, promotions, booking, and advertising manager for
H-Bros. “There’s been a decline in the music scene and the H-Bros want
to fill the void by bringing a variety of entertainment ranging from
indie rock to hip-hop to country. We’re here for the community and
always open to feedback.”
Wes Hart, Michael Tiner, and Brandon Wilson created H-Bros
Entertainment in early 2008. Allowing local musicians to share the
stage with national acts is one of their primary objectives. SoundChild
Crew, nominated for Indie Rap Act of the Year at the 2007 Southern
Entertainment Awards, will open the show. The group has been featured
on several mix tapes and is creating extensive regional buzz and even
gaining fans in Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.
“Part of bringing major acts is to give local musicians the opportunity
to share the stage with established artists and shine a light on the
talent here in northwest Arkansas,” said Gonzalez. “This will be good
for the whole community.”
No stranger to the spotlight, T-Pain, who was discovered by
multi-platinum rapper Akon, won a Grammy for his appearance on Kanye
West’s “The Good Life” and won Song of the Year for “Buy U a Drank
(Shawty Snappin’)” at the 2007 Vibe Awards. He has been nominated for
several other awards and appeared on many Top 40 hits. His single “I’m
N Luv (Wit a Stripper)” sold over 5 million ringtones. His supporting
act Plies released his debut album “The Real Testament” in 2007. It
debuted at number two in the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
During the T-Pain show, Gonzalez plans to allow the National Guard to
offer information and hopes to hold a voter registration drive, which
will allow for more grassroots efforts to better the community. He
hopes to continue and expand these endeavors during future shows.
“H-Bros Entertainment loves our community and believes that bringing
quality entertainment to northwest Arkansas is one way to revitalize
the community,” said Gonzalez. “We want to keep this as local as
possible.”
Currently, H-Bros Entertainment is working to bring a variety of major
acts to northwest Arkansas. Details will be released very soon. For
