It's nice to see that the people of Arkansas are so into music. There seems to be more going on there than in the Big Apple! Keep it up!

Traveled through Arkansas recently and picked up on your paper. Great job! The Austin Chronicle could learn a thing or two about music coverage from Nightflying. They're pretty good, but spend most of their ink on local politics instead of music. I noticed that that's about all Nightflying is about. Why don't you send them a copy? They could use it.

Hi Nightflying! I just wanted to say that this is a really cool pub you got there. I enjoyed reading through it immensely! I especially liked your "Letters To Ed" page. I laughed until I couldn't handle it! If I send you a letter would you print it and send me a copy? That would be SO Cool...
Luv ya!

I'm so glad your paper is online. I moved from AR to CA several years ago and this is one of the only ways I can keep up with my friends. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Does Nightflying distribute in Missouri? Please let me know cuz I really am into music and the papers around here don't list squat about it. Please reply here cuz our spam box grabs anything we don't set it up to receive. Does that make sense?
Thankx!

Hi Suzie,
Yes, we do distribute in Missouri, but not very close to St. Louis. You can find NF as close as Salem, MO at Camp Zoe (where they do The Schwagstocks). We also have mail subscriptions, though. It costs $35 per year for first-class mail, and you need to send your check to Nightflying, PO Box 250276, Little Rock, AR 72225 along with the address of who should get it...
Thanks for asking!

Hi Thanks for the informative site and mag. I've got one suggestion. How about cross indexing the section showing whos playing where at the clubs by date. Maybe some people like to read who's playing at a particular club, but I generally look on the day that I expect to go out.I just want to see who's playing in , for example,Fayetteville, On Saturday. It might be a hassle the first time but I imagine there's a way to do that automatically aftwerwords. Thanks

Les Party:
As a working musician I'm glad Nightflying publishes all this stuff just the way they do. This website is just the 'net version of an actual printed publication. They list thousands of listings in about as many places! Can you even imagine the hassles of cross-referencing all the Friday and Saturday nights?!! More to the point, can you even imagine the costs associated with doing that much web-programming? Just to make it more convenient for you to look up something on any given weekend? Get real!!! FT

I agree with Fred. The costs of cross-referencing all the dates and artists would be foolishly prohibitive. The folks who do this site are brilliant, and should be commended for their efforts. It is as close to perfect as I can imagine, and I don't even have a band I'd like them to write about.
Keep up the great work, Nightflying! A lot of us count on you.

A word to "les party":
Since you get this site for free, don't look a gift-horse in the mouth! If you think all these calendars need to be "cross-referenced" to make it easier and quicker for you to look up who's playing on a given date, get yer own damn website and do it yerself. Otherwise, sit back and relax and let them keep doing their jobs!
